CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

Our Christmas adventure started out by celebrating my grandmother's 90th Birthday.

She doesn't look a day over 70 and she acts even younger.
She still drives, plays cards with her friends, cooks, and she certainly lives life to its fullest.
She has survived the loss of a child, a grandchild, the love of her life and
she is one of the strongest women I have ever known.
I feel so very blessed to have her as my grandmother.

Here she is posing with 14 of her 15 grandchildren.

And here she is with all of her great grandchildren.

Here is my crew.  Can you tell they just downed some orange gatorade?

Me and my sweetie.

The next leg of our Christmas adventure involved a three night stay
at a hotel with an indoor watermark in French Lick, IN.
This was my parents' Christmas gift to us.
The kids got to swim, go on a Polar Express Train ride, go kart riding
and spend tons of quality time with their grandparents and cousins.
It was definitely a trip to remember.
(my daughter is crying because she was terrified to go first.  I was so proud of her for facing her fears and finally getting out there. She ended up loving it and even went back again the next day.)

Once we returned home, it was time to get serious about Christmas.
We, okay, mostly me, baked all day on Friday.
The rest of the weekend, we shopped a bit, wrapped and then
took it easy and just enjoyed being home together.

Santa made this little boy very happy!

These two were pretty thrilled also.
Since it was 55 degrees on Christmas, this was the only use the new sleds got.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.
Looks like we will be taking down the decorations this week and gearing up for the new year.
I have been doing a lot of thinking about my New Year's Resolutions.
I am seriously considering posting them.
Perhaps being accountable to my awesome readers will help me stay on track.
How about you, do you make New Year's resolutions?
How about you,
