Nothing special happened, just a regular day. I worked out, had my morning Starbucks, took my daughter to physical therapy, ate fast food for dinner, like I said, nothing special.
However, today I actually slowed down and smelled the roses. Not something I normally take the time to do. I had an extra long conversation with my daughter about nothing in particular, played legos and basketball with my boys, went on a short evening walk with my middle child and watched him snap pictures of the beautiful blooming trees. All too often, I get caught up in having to "get it all done".
I was plenty productive today, but my body and my mind have been telling me to slow down a bit.
I think it's time to stop and listen.
Sometimes I need to remind myself to enjoy the journey.
So that is just what I intend to do.

And since I was so busy smelling the roses today, I didn't prepare a blog post.
But I would love to share with you a few of my sister's pinterest projects.
This little reading house was a recent birthday gift to my niece from my mother.
Of course, she made it!
Of course, she made it!
I think my boys would love to have a version of this in our playroom (hint, hint, mom).
My sister saw this photo idea on Pinterest too.
How precious is that?
This project was also inspired by Pinterest.
The wall decal came from here.

And the adorable room belongs to this little beauty. Seriously, does it get an cuter than this?
I have been pretty busy, behind the scenes, wrapping up several client projects
and working on a few new ones. I will be sharing some of the details this week.
I hope you all had a good day too and don't forget to enjoy the journey.

ReplyDeleteDon't worry about "preparing" a blog post. You blogged about your day and it sounded fabulous!! Ordinary days are extraordinary days. :) Your sister's projects are adorable though. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of the girls in veils. Thanks for sharing with us today. I have been stopping and smelling the roses for a few days now. I was getting worn out trying to get my daughter's room done and I put my brush down, walked out and left it for a few days, the only one pressuring me was me. It felt great to just walk away. Thanks for posting this today, I think it's a great post. :)
ReplyDeleteI love days that I can look back on and say that I enjoyed every little moment! Your pictures are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
