A MASCULINE HOME OFFCE

I recently had the pleasure of designing a home office for a new local client.
The room was a complete blank slate.  I love when I can start from scratch.
I am working with tons of natural light, high ceilings and beautiful french doors.

This is what I came up with.....

The light is in, the chairs, desk and curtain panels have been purchased, and the painter is scheduled.
Custom bookcases will line one entire wall of the office and those will be constructed soon.
That green leather desk chair is one of my and my client's favorite elements of the room,
and wouldn't you know, it's out of stock right now.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that it becomes available soon.

The husband is a pastor at a local church and we thought it would be fun to have some
of his favorite bible verses enlarged and framed to hang over the console.
The wife is a teacher and has a goal of completing this project before school starts back in August.
Once again, I love a deadline!

Speaking of deadlines, our backyard project is in full swing and what a muddy mess is it right now.
It should have been finished by now, but that pesky rain has slowed everything down.
So glad I didn't plan a big party, like I usually do, to make sure it was all completed.
We would be partying in the mud!

I'll show you some progress pictures soon.
Fortunately, I have vision.  So am looking past the piles of dirt and broken bricks
and envisioning spending countless hours out there with my family and friends.

  6. So, you suggest scones for the built-ins? I like raisin scones myself. Sorry, couldn't help myself. It just made me giggle. I will always take a scone over a sconce. ;)
