HELLO 2014

I bet you thought I gave up on this little ole blog, didn't you?
If I'm being completely honest, I do sometimes feel like my mom and dad
are the only ones that read it and the thought of quitting has definitely crossed my mind.
I know that's not really true and I sincerely appreciate
each and every one of you who take the time to visit my blog.
Just when I'm feeling like throwing in the towel or having a little pity party,
I will get the sweetest comment from a reader.  It is often times just the fuel I need to keep going.
I have always intended for this blog to be my creative outlet and hopefully inspire others along the way.
Nothing more, nothing less.

Now that I have eaten my weight in sweets and slept a ridiculous amount of time
over the last two weeks, I am finally ready to get this year started.
Before I go getting all creative on you again,
I wanted to share our family pictures we had taken last Fall.
I used one of them for our Christmas card and I meant to share right before Christmas,
but I was so busy eating cookies and sleeping.

The photos were taken by the very talented photographer, Alicia Eads

This one made the Christmas card.

My little guy spied this tree as soon as we got to the park.
He must have asked 500 times if he could have his picture taken in the tree.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I look forward to 2014 and all it has to offer.

  1. Gorgeous photos of your beautiful family! I'm jealous that your dog cooperated - we tried that one year, and it was a disaster. Happy to hear I'm not the only one who has eaten her weight in sweets and slept WAY too much. Unfortunately, it's looking like we might have snow days in store instead of the kids going back to school! I need some structure, or else I'm going to lose my mind!

Glad you're still blogging, I'm an avid reader and a big fan. ;-)

    Happy New Year!

  11. Holy cow, you guys are one beautiful family!!! I always have a hard time getting back into blogging after the break. Actually, I've struggled for over a year since my son was born to get back to posting regularly. Anymore I feel like if I post, awesome, if not, ehhh maybe next week.

  12. I love that last one of all of you. Such sweet photos to have. I really tuned a lot out over the holidays and tried to stay focused but I feel like my blogging mojo is slowly coming back. Hopefully you'll see me more often and hope to still see your posts too Andrea.
