I am excited to have Alison from The Modern Cottage Company
as my guest for Friday Finds.
Alison is such an eye for style. She hunts down some fantastic pieces, makes them beautiful
and sells them in her fabulous shop, The Modern Cottage Company......
I am loving this kelly green dresser she did...
and this sassy striped number......(can you tell I'm still obsessed with stripes)
I will turn it over to Alison to share her most recent favorite find with you.......
Thank you Andrea for letting me share with you all my newest treasure for Friday Finds,
I am delighted and honored.
Treasure hunting is without a doubt, my favorite part of my job.
I don't mind digging through dusty old antique stores or smelly thrift stores
if I am going to get my good find!

I am so excited to share with you my finds of the week.
As a shop owner I am always looking for fun new things to add to my shop.
Sometimes I have to think outside the box and create something unique and fun.

I found this gigantic {and super heavy} tray a week ago at an antique store near my own shop.
It is wood and looks like it might have faux turtle skin as the lining of the tray.
The price was great but I thought on it it's own, it would be something that would sit in my shop without a buyer. I mean what would you do with a gigantic tray?
A few days later I came across the kidney shaped footstool. On it's own, the stool isn't special but I remembered the large tray and thought that the two together could make a very cool coffee table.
All it took was painting both pieces the same color, a little liquid nails,
a few screws and my two found objects became one very cool coffee table.
I love it so much I wish I could keep it!
Thanks so much, Alison, for participating today. If I lived closer, that table would be mine!!
Have a great St. Patty's Day!
Thanks for all the prayers for my aunt. They are sill needed.
She is scheduled to have her third surgery today (3 surgeries in 3 days).
She is such a strong woman that has been through so much.
I pray that she comes through this even stronger.
