JUMPING ON THE BANDWAGON

I first saw this done by Courtney.

What a fabulous idea, I thought.
I then saw Erin had taken notice too.

Last Monday, I got started on a few projects I had been wanting to try, but putting off.
On Tuesday, I checked out Carmel's blog and it looks like great minds thing alike!

Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right?

I have been eyeing these frames in our master bedroom for a while.
My husband has learned over the years, if I eye something for too long,
it will be removed, changed, replaced, improved, etc.  You get the idea, right?

Here's how I started.  I measured out two inches in each corner and added some painter's tape.

Next, I broke out my go to paint, Rub N' Buff, and added it to the corners.

I am loving the new look. How about you?

It makes the cheap K-Mart frames I have had for years look a little more elegant.

Have you Rub N' Buffed anything lately?  By the way, I'm still using the tiny tube I bought last year and have used on this project, this project, and this project. A little goes a long way.

  11. Love it, they look great!! I just took down a grouping of black frames because I was tired of the look, but now they are going back up after I rub n' buff them with the gold. I have gone through a couple of tubes already, just because I did a huge mirror and several frames.

  18. What a terrific idea! The gold corners really add polish and sophistication. I have frames JUST like those and I've been thinking about getting rid of them. But not anymore - I'm super inspired to trim them out in gold.
