I focused a lot on the rough and forgot to get to the diamond part. Here's a picture of our house now.
We moved into our house in early October, once the inside renovations were complete. However, the outside was still a work in progress. As soon as Spring arrived, we were ready to tackle the outside. First came the paint. We kept everything white except the shutters. We decided the white shutters were a little too boring and needed to go. We also went for dark red on the door. The house itself it a very traditional style as are many other houses in the neighborhood. We wanted to keep that look and feel. Our amazing cabinet maker, Steve Cline, of Woodwork Designs, made and installed the columns on the front of the house. They made such a difference. Not sure if there were ever columns there before, but there certainly should have been. After the painting was all complete, we moved forward with our landscape design plan, done by Allison Murphy, owner of Branch Out Designs. Allison did a wonderful job and we were so happy with the new look of our old house.
Here are a couple of pictures of the house sans any landscaping, fresh paint or columns.
