DRESSING YOUR HOME FOR FALL

Before the day officially gets away from me, I wanted to invite you over to
Living Savvy to see how I dressed our table for Fall.
I was excited to be invited to participate in the "Dressing Your Home For Fall Series".

Here's a peek at our dining room table all decked out in its finest Fall decor.
I used items found around our house and in the yard to put together a colorful and natural table setting.
You can read all about it here.

While you're there, be sure to check out some of Tiffany's great DIY tutorials.

That girl can stencil a wall like nobody's business.

Today you will find me over at Lauren's fabulous blog, Cove & Grey.
She invited me to share details of my very own sanctuary.
Can you guess which room in our house if my sanctuary?
Hint -  I normally sport my apron while hanging out in there.

Be sure to check out Cove & Grey.
Lauren is a talented designer and always has tons of inspiration to share.
She just completed the design of this adorable office for her client.
I love all that stylish storage.

I'll be back tomorrow with a closet reveal.
Things didn't quite go as planned and a I learned a valuable lesson. I will share all the details.

YOU CAN FIND ME AT....

this fabulous blog today.  I was thrilled when Sara of Three Boys invited me over to guest post.

Sara has some serious talent (and patience) and has tackled some amazing DIY projects.
For instance, she upholstered this chair herself.
Pretty amazing, right?

Be sure to stop by and check out my post about the evolution of our living room
and you will definitely want to spend some time browsing her blog.

BIG PLANS

This weekend is starting off with a BANG!!  My lovely friend, Cassie, from Primitive and Proper,
so kindly asked me to guest post while she is busy moving into her dream house.  Cassie is such a sweetheart and I am so blessed to have gotten to know her recently.  She is such an inspiration with her positive outlook and her creative talent is quite inspiring as well.

I am so excited for Cassie and her family and I can't wait to follow along as they transform this house into their home.  Be sure to stop by Cassie's blog to check out a few of my savvy (and some not so savvy) ways to bring some life back into an old home.

Today also happens to be one of my best friend's 40th Birthday.  We are taking her out to lunch, then to get her nails done and then who knows where we might end up.  I do know that it will be a fabulous time and I'm so glad I get to celebrate with her.

That's Laura on the right (isn't she cute?)

The rest of the weekend will also be fun-filled.  My children's school has their annual fundraiser,
The Hullabaloo on Saturday.  The weather is supposed to be beautiful and the festival is always a great time.  Sunday, my husband and I are going to take our oldest two children to the amusement park, King's Island.  My son and I went once over the summer and he has not stopped talking about all the roller coasters.  I'm kind of a big wimp when it comes to roller coasters, so I'm going to try to be brave.

However, don't expect to see me on this one.

This is really more my speed.....

Since I'm giving you a play by play of the weekend, after a long day at King's Island, we get to go see my two boys playing flag football.  They had their first game last week and it was something to see.

It looked a little like this.

That's my youngest trying to snap the ball to my older son,
fist attempt didn't go so well, but they soon got the hang of it.
They were a little too excited about the mouthpiece they had to wear.

So there you have it.  Should be a fantastic weekend.  Hope yours is too!
