I was checking up on my daily blogs yesterday as I was getting my gray hair colored. I was astonished to see this amazing transformation on Emily A. Clark's blog. I was so fascinated I had to go straight to the source. Her name is Kristy Swain, of Hyphen Interiors. I introduced myself, praised her abilities and asked if I could share this with my readers. She happily obliged. Seriously, you might want to sit down for this one.
This is the lovely wingback Kristy scored from Craigslist. Not a bad looking chair, right?
Check it out now! Believe it or not, there was no slipcovering or reupholstering involved.
She painted the darn thing, not just the legs, the entire thing!
This was her inspiration.
This is the design board she created for her master bedroom (the new home for the chair).

I am thrilled to have met Kristin (well, not in person, but via e-mail and that counts in blog land)
and I can't wait to see her master bedroom when it is all finished.
I am so inspired when I come across someone with this kind of vision and talent. I know you will be too. Have a fantastic weekend.
Thank you so much for the feature, Andrea. I really enjoyed our exchanges today and hope to get to know you better. I love your blog and feel privileged to be featured on it.
