Remember this plan for a fun and updated family room.
I am happy to report that the project is almost complete.
The sofa fabric ended up being on backorder and put everything on hold for a while.
The sofa and matching chair are scheduled to be delivered very soon.
With the room lacking proper seating, the custom built window seat sure has come in handy.
(sorry for the poor i-phone pics)
It's a massive window seat at just under 12 feet long.
Not only is it beautiful and comfortable, but it also provides tons of storage.
We had a cushion custom made along with bolsters for each end.
The pillows all from Etsy.
As soon as the sofa and chair arrive, we will be adding the finishing touches.
I can't wait to share the after pictures with you.
This week seems to be very similar to last week, lots of activities with the kids and little time to blog.
However, I am really excited to take a little break from the crazy summer and head to
Haven (a DIY blogging conference) next week.
Haven (a DIY blogging conference) next week.
I hope to come back inspired to and I am anxious to learn
all I can about how to improve this little ole blog!
Not to mention, I'm pretty thrilled I finally get to meet some of my blogging buddies.
Thanks so much to all of you for following along on this journey with me.
Blogging has been such a positive experience for me
and has allowed me to grow personally and professionally.
I owe it all to you guys!

Andrea, it's beautiful! I was thinking of you the other day too. I love the color palette you've created here. The window seat is so so nice and the pillows and fabrics you've selected are really great. I can't wait to see more! You're going to Haven too? I knew I should have went - it would have been the perfect birthday present to myself - ha! Take lots of photos and notes - can't wait to hear all about it.

Can you provide contacts on who you had make the bench and upholstered window seat cushions?? That is so great and it's just like my house. We moved to N. KY about a year ago so references are great!
ReplyDeleteThe window seat is fantastic. My fav part is the bottom, I love the base detail.
