A $5 LAMP

Sometime over the summer, I picked up this fabulous lamp at a local thrift store for $5.00!
I loved the teal lamp that was here, but with the new curtains, it just wasn't quite working.
I patiently waited, so unlike me, to stumble upon one at a great price.  I would call $5.00 a great price.

I already had the shade.  I pick them up at thrift stores whenever I see them.
I don't think I have ever paid more than $3.00 for a lamp shade.
I have a collection in the basement, just waiting to be matched with the perfect lamp.

Here's a shot of the lamp in its new home.

I finally put a picture in the small sunburst mirror (a $.50 thrift store score).
It had been floating around the house, pictureless for some time now.

The colors in this little tablescape have me dreaming of
crisp fall days, hot cider and hikes through the woods.
Fall is, by far, my favorite season of the year.
We got a taste of some beautiful Fall weather this weekend.  I was in heaven.
Are you ready for Fall?

  9. Hi! I only WISH I could find lamp shades like that (and for that price) where I live. I don't know of many thrift stores, and the ones I do know of don't sell lamp shades. Would you be willing to sell any?? =) :) :P
