I have been busy shuffling kids back and forth, hosting sleepovers, getting caught in the middle of water gun fights, doing crazy amounts of laundry and trying to squeeze in a little work.
This working from home gig, while school is out, is proving to be more difficult than I imagined.
I plan to do the best I can while focusing on soaking up this time with my children.

I have managed to get a few things done around here.

I switched out the lamp in "The Nook" for this new vintage thrift store lamp I found last week.
I actually got a pair of these.  You know I love a good pair!

I finished up a new gallery wall going up the stairs.
My phone is still in the shop and my I-phone just doesn't do this project justice.
As soon as I get my camera back, I'll show you the whole thing.

I also added this rug to our house.
I am in love with it.  Even my six year old said "This  rug is beautiful!.
He then proceeded to do cartwheels on it with his dirty feet.
We like to break things in right away around here.

I'll show you where the rug ended up soon.
I thought I could manage 4-6 weeks without my camera, but it sure makes blogging difficult.
Hurry up Canon!

  1. Yup, I know the "working from home during the Summer" grind. You've got the right idea about it all, so enjoy the moments!
The lamps, the rug....to. die. for.

  3. Thanks for the little tease :) Holy moly those are amazing finds, I'm excited to see them all styled up! Artwork with large white mats is one favorite looks for a gallery wall!

  4. Love that rug! I am dying to add a gallery wall to our home! I'm trying to find the right place. My canon broke too! I have been using my iphone! ugh!

  5. Wow you've got a lot going on around the abode, between the kiddos being home, your backyard work, and these pretty new touches inside! Wowza…that rug is a showstopper. Love it. So cute about the dirty little feet doing cartwheels across it!

  6. Loving the rug and the lamp -- wowza!! I'm trying to get into a summer routine too, as this is my first week home with all of the kids since we were out of town last week. I'm marveling at the amount of food I'm going to burn through with all of them this summer! Knocking out some projects though - little by little - in between my second job as chauffeur, that is. ;-)

  7. LOVE that lamp - and it is a pair??! Thanks for your sweet comment the other day - enjoy your time with the kiddos.

  8. Love the rug and the lamps. Definitely best to go ahead and get things broken in right away :) xo Laura

  9. Oooo..... That rug is a pretty one! Kids are like animals sometimes, they like to get their scent on new things :D
