COMPLETED PROJECT - FAMILY ROOM & KITCHEN

Remember this plan from here.

I am happy to report that this one is complete.
The client already had a beautiful home and just wanted to  freshen things up a bit.
This is where we started......

The first thing we did was pick out a new neutral sofa and these fabulous pillows.

The homeowners have three kids that enjoy lounging and eating on the sofa.
They wanted durable fabric and neutral color with a little pattern.  We found just that!
These pillows were our jumping off point for the rest of the fabrics and colors in the room.

The wall color is Benjamin Moore Wickham Gray.
We had the two wingback chairs reupholstered in this vibrant red fabric.

We softened the windows by adding cream dummy panels.

We added a leather upholstered ottoman with storage.
The perfect spot for teenagers to kick up their feet and relax.

They had just recently replaced a big armoire with this black media console.
We wanted to take some of the focus off the TV by surrounding it with a simple gallery arrangement.

Special family photos and momentos were incorporated into the gallery wall.

The homeowners fell in love with this mirror when they saw it in a new home they toured.
We were able to find it on-line and used it in between the two club chairs we had reupholstered.

We continued the wall color into the kitchen.

The windows were updated with new valances.

We also had all the kitchen chairs painted in Benjamin Moore Puritan Gray.

The homeowners also painted the adjoining laundry/mudroom with the Puritan Gray
and used some extra fabric to make this adorable cornice.

This was a fun project to work on since the homeowners were ready to make a serious change.
Putting a calming color on walls and adding some vibrant fabrics to the space made all the difference.
The family just recently purchased a vacation home in Hilton Head
and will now be focusing on decorating their second home.
They have gotten a good start and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

If you would like help creating a space you truly love, you can contact me here for details.
The kids are going back to school soon and I am ready to tackle some new projects!

I am in Michigan with my family this week and we are having a blast!
Why have we never vacationed here before?
I'll keep you posted on all our adventures.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
